Cognitive Cat Prep terms of service

Effective October 30, 2026.

These terms govern Cognitive Cat Prep, operated by Work in Play LLC ("we," "us" or "our"), based in Brooklyn, New York. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using it. The host platform's own terms apply separately. The main website has its own terms of service; its account, purchase and access-period terms do not apply to this anonymous plugin.

1. Eligibility and access

Follow the host platform's age and permission requirements. This service is not directed to children under 13. If you are a minor, obtain a parent or guardian's permission where required.

No service account or purchase is required. The plugin does not link to paid website accounts, process purchases or provide access to the separate website's private question bank. Usage limits protect availability. Drill records expire 24 hours after creation, and access to a drill depends on its private handle. Keep that handle secure; do not use another person's handle without authorization.

2. Educational practice and limitations

The service provides independently authored math, verbal, logic and spatial reasoning drills, checked explanations, shortcuts, practice summaries and a numeric pacing calculator for personal educational use. Choose untimed practice or optional timing. The clock starts when you begin and cannot be paused or reset; reading feedback uses time during a timed drill. Answers and skips cannot be changed after submission, and ending a drill prevents further answers to that drill. Resuming a drill retrieves existing progress without restarting its timer.

These exercises are general practice. They do not reproduce an official assessment, determine intelligence, establish a percentile ranking, certify readiness or predict a hiring outcome. We do not promise that questions, difficulty, timing or results match any external assessment. No particular score, improvement, passing result, job offer or other outcome is guaranteed.

Explanations, generated conversational coaching and other feedback can be inaccurate or incomplete. Use your own judgment and verify information when needed. Work in Play LLC independently operates this service; no assessment provider, employer or host platform sponsors or endorses it.

3. Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully for personal preparation. Do not use it to cheat on an active assessment, submit confidential employer questions, access another person's records, bypass usage controls, disrupt or overload the service, introduce malicious code or interfere with others' use.

Do not copy, scrape, bulk download, redistribute, resell or publish the question pool or service content without permission. Do not submit unlawful, abusive or infringing material, sensitive personal information, credentials or information you lack permission to share. You are responsible for information and actions you submit through the host application.

4. Content, ownership and permission to operate

We and our licensors retain ownership of the service, software, branding, question pool and learning materials. We grant you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable permission to use the service for personal study in accordance with these terms. Use does not transfer ownership or authorize commercial redistribution.

You retain any rights you have in content you submit. You permit us to host, store, process and transmit that content through our service providers as needed to deliver the requested features, maintain security and respond to support requests. Our privacy policy explains the associated data handling. Host-platform conversations and generated content may also be governed by that platform's terms.

5. Availability, changes and termination

We may update features or content, apply usage limits, or interrupt service for maintenance, capacity or security. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent storage, recovery after expiry or compatibility with every device or host-platform version.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations, misuse, fraud, security risks or legal requirements. You may stop using or disconnect the service at any time and contact support about deletion requests. Disconnection does not immediately delete stored drills or host-platform conversations; the privacy policy and host controls govern those separately. Provisions concerning ownership, limitations, liability and disputes continue where relevant after use ends.

6. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and noninfringement.

To the extent permitted by law, Work in Play LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or lost profits, opportunities or data arising from use of the service. Our total liability for claims arising from the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us for this service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These terms do not exclude or limit liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

7. Governing law and disputes

New York law governs, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise. Unless applicable law provides otherwise, disputes will be brought in state or federal courts located in Kings County, New York, and you and we consent to those courts' jurisdiction.

8. Changes and general terms

We may update these terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date and provide additional notice of material changes where required. Updated terms apply prospectively; continued use after they take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These terms constitute the agreement between you and Work in Play LLC regarding this service.
